One of the most magical things we can do as human beings is create entire worlds, people, and complex dramas, all from our imaginations. There is nothing more powerful than a well-told story. Stories let us learn empathy, find escape, see reflections of ourselves, and experience the perspectives of others.
Every good film and television show starts with a strong, well-told story. Sure, lots of bad scripts get made, but good scripts get noticed, and only the best ones get remembered.
With over 10 years of experience in Hollywood, I've helped writers develop scripts across all media and genres, and worked especially with comedy and socially impactful storytelling.
Whether you've been writing scripts for years or are just dipping your toes into the world of screenwriting, I'm here to help you bring your vision to life. I offer personalized consultations that are all about what you want to achieve with your story. Together, we'll make sure your script hits home with your audience and will stand out to producers.
I dive into the details, giving you thorough feedback and constructive critiques to tighten up your plot, deepen your characters, sharpen your dialogue, and strengthen your overall structure. In my process, this is a creative partnership where we collaborate to make your script the best it can be.
Let's bring your story to life!
"So much of writing can be such a lonely activity, one where you sometimes get lost in whether or not what you're coming up with is good, bad, or if it even makes sense. Gabby provides not only an incredibly kind and comfortable atmosphere for giving notes, but she becomes a sort of lighthouse, guiding you to your final draft with clear and intentional thoughts that makes your solo endeavor feel like you have a teammate supporting you all along the way." - Aaron Izek (Writer, THE NEIGHBORHOOD)
Do you want professional, collaborative feedback on your pilot or feature script? I read your script and in a 1-hour collaborative working video session, I share my feedback from both a pure storytelling and industry-selling perspective. We discuss these notes, and after understanding your personal objectives and creative vision, work together to determine exactly what your script needs to take it to the next level.
Do you need feedback on a pitch presentation for a feature or television project? In a 1-hour video session, I hear your pitch (up to 30 minutes max) and give feedback from the perspective of a production company or buyer, and provide helpful notes on how to better organize or present your pitch.
Do you need a thorough read-through of your script for something other than story analysis? Depending on your specific needs, I proofread your script for grammar and spelling issues, and if you are not a native English speaker, I read with an eye for improving any unnatural sounding dialogue or exposition. Lastly, with my experience working in socially impactful storytelling, I can provide a sensitivity read, reviewing your script for unconscious bias, offensive language, and outdated/harmful stereotypes.
